TSO and PLUS+ present Coming Home, a panel discussion on what it means to be LGBTQ* and API!
In 2017, the Constitutional Court of Taiwan ruled that same-sex couples had the right to marry, becoming the first country in Asia to ratify same-sex marriage. LGBT rights in Taiwan are considered to be some of the most progressive in East Asia, but there is still a long way to go. Learn more at the event through a brief presentation created by Joy Chu (Wash U’ 20)
Our panel of alums and current students Sam Lai (Wash U ‘15), Rory Mather (Wash U ‘19), and Katherine Yang (Wash U ‘19) are also joining us to share their experiences with their API and LGBTQ* identities at Wash U and beyond.
There will be free food from Tai Ke, a local Taiwanese eatery, as well as buns from Foundry Bakery and free boba from Corner 17.
